My favorite feature of this pillow is the blue sheer fabric. It is from one of the brides maid dress alterations. Originally the pillow was all white and very generic looking. At the very last minute I was able to get the dress scrap from the bride's mother. I'm so happy because it made a huge difference.
I was also able to make a dust cover and use some of the dress fabric to make a bow. I'm really happy with how it tuned out. The bride to be saw pictures and she seems very happy with it as well.
The only thing that I don't like about this pillow is that it is not silk. The local store that carries silk didn't have silk satin in white and the last time I put in an order on-line, it took weeks to arrive. I couldn't risk not getting the fabric in time so I went with what was available, man made materials. Oh well, at least if it gets dirty it will be easy to wash.
Happy stitching!
