30/30 Sewing Challenge Goals

I learned from last year that sewing challenges and contests really give me extra incentive to complete my goals. So yesterday I went looking for challenges that interested me this year. This one seemed quite simple enough... if only I can keep up with it, sort of like a resolution.

Berry Barn Designs

The rules are simple: Take 30 minutes a day and sew for myself. Then once a week check in with the sponsor and participants to chat about how well everyone has done. At the end there are prizes, such a bonus.

Today's assignment is simply to set some goals. So here are mine:
Finish some UFOs
(specifically my grey skirt (here) and striped wool jacket)
Remake my burgundy skirt into something usable (finished)
Start on my stash, there are loads of projects waiting in there

Have you heard of any other sewing challenges that sound fun?

  1. I'm so glad you found my challenge and are joining in! Sounds like your "me made" wardrobe goal this year is right in line with our "selfish sewing" all month : ) The wool jacket sounds lovely - I look forward to seeing your finishes!

  2. There's the Triangle Quilt Along, Vrooman's quilt blog does a thing where you pick a project out of one of the books you own and work on it, finish it or not, There's also the layer cake quilt along. Crazy Little Projects? has a monthly sewing challenges. Tons to do.
